The joy of cake baking.

Ever since I was a child I have loved baking. Furthermore, my fondest memories involve  baking cookies, cakes, and pie with my mom and grandma.  It amazed me how the combination of simple ingredients such as eggs, butter , sugar and milk could create should such delicious  treats.  In addition, I was thrilled to receive Betty Crocker baking sets as gifts.  The very 1st cake I ever made  was a chocolate layer cake when I was 6. In addition to baking, mom and I loved to page through different catalogs viewing the various baking products offered on the market.  My favorite pans were the character based one such as Mickey Mouse, Winne the Pooh, etc.  Furthermore the most innovative pan set I ever had was a checkerboard cake set.
